The Kremenets-Pochaiv State Historical and Architectural Reserve is one of the most significant cultural and historical complexes in western Ukraine, founded in 2001, located on the territory of the Kremenets district of the Ternopil region. The reserve encompasses objects of architecture, history and culture that reflect the multifaceted heritage of this region, in particular monasteries, churches, castles and palaces.
The main goal of the reserve is to preserve and popularize cultural heritage monuments, as well as research into the history and development of the towns of Kremenets and Pochaiv. The reserve includes such significant objects as the Pochaiv Lavra – one of the largest Orthodox monasteries in Ukraine, the Kremenets Castle, as well as numerous church buildings that are vivid examples of Ukrainian and Polish architecture.
The Reserve is also an important tourist center, attracting visitors from all over Ukraine and abroad, which contributes to the development of the local economy and the popularization of national culture. In addition, the reserve hosts exhibitions, cultural events, scientific and practical conferences, as well as educational programs for schoolchildren and students.
The reserve is actively working on the restoration of architectural monuments, the preservation of unique objects of art and scientific research, which contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage for future generations.
