The Economic Department is a structural unit of the Kremenets-Pochayiv State Historical and Architectural Reserve and provides organisation, support and implementation of a range of economic, technical and transport tasks necessary for the stable operation of the institution.
It is thanks to the coordinated work of this unit that the technical condition of buildings, the proper sanitary and aesthetic condition of the territories are maintained, and all the economic logistics of the reserve are organised.
The daily work of the economic department covers a wide range of areas, from servicing electricity and water supply systems to caring for monuments, maintaining internal infrastructure, providing for everyday needs and organising ongoing repair work. A significant part of the duties is performed unnoticed by the average visitor, but it is these efforts that ensure the proper functioning of the reserve as a whole.
Another important area of activity is the support of cultural and educational events – exhibitions, presentations, expeditions, conferences, and celebrations. Employees of the maintenance department participate in the preparation of exhibition spaces, transportation of equipment, and installation of auxiliary structures. During the season, they clear snow, maintain green spaces, and tidy up the surrounding areas, which is especially important given the tourist significance of Kremenets.
